Tata Elxsi and Viridium AI Launch ViTel™ for Medical Device Compliance and Sourcing
Tata Elxsi and Viridium AI have launched ViTel™, a material intelligence platform designed to help medical device manufacturers manage compliance, sourcing, and material-related decision-making through artificial intelligence. The solution was introduced at DeviceTalks Boston 2026.
According to the companies, ViTel™ creates a centralized material intelligence layer that connects product, material, chemical, supplier, and regulatory data. The platform is intended to help manufacturers identify supplier dependencies, assess sourcing risks, evaluate material alternatives, and address evolving compliance requirements more efficiently.
Powered by Viridium AI’s Knowledge Cloud, Chemical Digital Twin, and science-based AI models, the platform transforms fragmented enterprise information into a searchable product-material knowledge graph. The companies said this approach can support faster engineering, sourcing, quality, and regulatory decisions across medical device development and manufacturing operations.
Tata Elxsi stated that ViTel™ incorporates its MedTech engineering and regulatory expertise, while Viridium AI contributes its material intelligence technology platform. The solution was co-developed through Tata Elxsi’s STEP UP co-innovation program, which focuses on bringing emerging technologies to enterprise customers.
The launch reflects growing industry demand for digital tools that help manufacturers navigate increasingly complex supply chains, regulatory requirements, and material sourcing challenges while improving operational efficiency and compliance readiness.
